Didrex (Benzphetamine) is classifed is in the FDA pregnancy category X. DO NOT take this drug if you are pregnant or trying to conceive as it will cause birth defects in your baby. The side effects passed on to a breastfeeding baby are not known. It is advised to not take Didrex and breastfeed. Didrex Drug InteractionsYou cannot take phendimetrazine if you have taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) in the last 14 days.Changes in insulin and other diabetes drug therapies may be necessary during treatment with Didrex. Didrex may reduce the effects of guanethidine (Ismelin). This could lead to an increase in blood pressure. Tell your doctor if you are taking guanethidine. Before taking this medication, tell your doctor if you are taking a tricyclic antidepressant. These drugs may decrease the effects of Didrex.
